Chers Membres de la SEII, chers amis,  ATTENTION: annulation du dîner-conférence du 29 février Nous sommes au grand regret de devoir vous annoncer l'annulation de la conférence SEII de S.E. l'Ambassadrice de la République de NAMIBIE  prévue le 29/02.En effet, S.E. l'Ambassadrice de la République de NAMIBIE vient de nous informer du décès du Président de la République de NAMIBIE  Dr Hage GEINGOB et de son obligation de participer aux funérailles nationales qui auront lieu fin du mois .Au nom de la SEII, nous présentons nos sincères condoléances à S.E. l'Ambassadrice de la République de NAMIBIE. La conférence de S.E. l'Ambassadrice de la République de NAMIBIE sera reportée à une date ultérieure. Dr. MEKONDJO KAAPANDA-GIRNUS, Ambassador of the REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the EUA short biography of H.E.Dr. MEKONDJO KAAPANDA-GIRNUSBefore arriving in Belgium, she served as Commercial Counsellor at the Namibian Embassy in Germany and the Namibian High Commission in the UK representing the Ministry of Industrialization and Trade and specifically the Namibia Investment Centre. Prior to her diplomatic assignments and work for the Namibian Government, Dr. Kaapanda-Girnus pursued an academic career and taught public international law and human rights at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies and the School of Oriental and AfricanStudies (SOAS), both University of London colleges.Ambassador Kaapanda-Girnus has a strong academic background and her highest academic qualification is a PhD in International Law (2013) from the University of Cambridge (UK) where she was the recipient of the prestigious Gates Cambridge Scholarship. Her other academic qualifications include a Master of Laws degree (L.L.M., 2001) from the University of Toronto (Canada) as well as a First Class Bachelor of Laws Honours degree (L.L.B. Hons., 2000) and a First Class Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Politics (B.A. Hons., 1998), both from the Universityof Adelaide (Australia). Dr Kaapanda-Girnus has received numerous academic awards including the W.C.G.
